Sign types and installation method
Post-mounted road and street signs are the simplest case: a screw per post position, driven to resistance, sign shaft bolted to the head.
Larger gantry-adjacent boards, traffic signal posts and multi-post assemblies carry more load and are specified from sign area, mounting height and exposure.
Delineator posts and seasonal signage are the clearest wins for screws, because they are installed and removed repeatedly and the foundation comes out clean every time.
Short windows, services and reinstatement
Handheld driving equipment means positions can be reached without plant in the carriageway, and screws can be sited to avoid buried services rather than cutting a trench through them.
Everything is loaded as soon as it is set, so sign, post and foundation can all be completed inside one closure or possession: no second visit, no cure check.
On removal there is no concrete plug left in the verge to break out and cart away, and the screws are normally reusable on the next installation.
Highways, rail and private estate signage

Yes. Ground screws are designed for installation all year round and there is no concrete to protect while it cures, so weather that would stop a dig and pour does not stop us.
